Acer Elevates Esports and Philippine Entertainment in Successful Asia Pacific Predator League 2024

The Asia Pacific Predator League 2024 concluded at the Mall of Asia Arena in the Philippines, marking the coronation of new champions in DOTA 2 and VALORANT esports. The event showcased electrifying performances from talented Filipino artists and proved to be a major success, drawing sold-out arenas and engaging online viewers through the Predator social media channels. Blacklist Rivalry and Team Secret emerged as victors among the 26 competing teams, earning the prestigious Predator Shield in their respective categories.

Valorant Highlights

 

In the Asia Pacific Predator League 2024, Team Secret secured the top spot, earning a prize pool of Rs 65,000 for their outstanding performance in the VALORANT tournament. FAV Gaming, the runner-up, received Rs 20,000. Additionally, BOOM Esports from Indonesia and Team Flash from Vietnam, securing the third and fourth positions respectively, each earned Rs 7,500 for their achievements in the competition.

 

Team Secret entered the Asia Pacific Predator League 2024 as the favorites and surpassed all expectations, particularly dominating the final against the Japanese team FAV gaming. Adrian “invy” Reyes stood out as a key player for the team. Affectionately known as "The Adobo Gang" by their fans, Team Secret secured their first LAN trophy and Predator shield, marking a significant achievement for their VALORANT team since its establishment.

 

Dota 2 Highlights

 

In the Dota 2 grand finals of the Asia Pacific Predator League 2024, Blacklist Rivalry emerged victorious against Filipino team Execration. Abed “Abed” Yusop showcased incredible form, averaging 8.5 kills and 14 assists in the series, leading the offensive efforts for Blacklist Rivalry. The team effectively shut down Execration’s star player, Mark “Bob” Urbino, resulting in a disappointing defeat for Execration and marking another second-place finish in the Predator League grand finals for two consecutive years.

 

Intel MVP Award

 

Exceptional players who distinguished themselves during the Asia Pacific Predator League 2024 were recognized with merits. In Dota 2, the merit was awarded to carry player Polo "Raven" Fausto, while in VALORANT, duelist player Jeremy "Jremy" Cabrera received the honor. Both players were awarded an additional Rs 10,000 prize along with the Intel MVP Award Trophy for their outstanding individual performances.

 

In addition to the thrilling esports competitions, the audience enjoyed world-class entertainment featuring some of the Philippines' brightest stars, including Acer ambassadors SB19 and Sarah Geronimo. The event also included meet-and-greet sessions with Predator ambassadors Cong TV and the Team Payaman boys, consisting of burg, KuyaNic, Chibiby, Maggiekarp, amaratv, Een Mercado, Kang Dupet, and cosplayer Alodia Gosiengfiao.
