Cavaliers Extend Historic Streak to 13-0 with Win Over 76ers

The Cleveland Cavaliers won against Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night with 114-106 and thus continued the streak. They are only the sixth team in the NBA history to begin seasons like these, and our astonishing 13-0 opens up a special status for the team. These teams keep on adding successes to the previous one and there is no sign that the present pace will slow down. The Cavaliers are the team that really enjoys the game and believes in success, which places them definitely among the favorites with every win.

Donovan Mitchell took over in the last three minutes to score 11 of his total 23 points to see off the Philadelphia 76ers with a 114-106 loss. By winning this match, Cleveland was able to join only the sixth NBA team that has managed to register 13 straight wins in the start of the season. Mitchell also proved to be useful across the board with nine assist and thirteen rebounds as well. Ever since the Warriors began the season 24-0 in 2015-16, the Cavaliers have become the first team to come knocking on that door.

The Cavaliers added one more triumph to the record which equalized with the 14 victories of the 2002-03 Mavericks and the 1957-58 Celtics, and which secured that fourth best start in NBA history. Nonetheless, the 15-0 record next is held the 1948-49 Capitols and the 1993-94 Rockets. Cleveland still has a long way before they can get to the Warriors’ 2015-16 season record of 24-0; although that season is slightly more defined by LeBron James’ Cleveland Cavaliers’ finals run rather than by the Golden State Warriors record.

And as the result, getting ready for the Chicago Bulls this Friday, the Cavaliers, which strengths are close to legendary due to the amazing record of the consecutive wins, want to keep the machine working. These fights are important primarily because the pressure with which the fighters are asked to perform and the stakes are set high. Will the Bulls give back their gains of the last three games, or will they continue to soar? Cleveland coming into the game highly motivated to make more history and their opponents who want to derail that goal in a hostile environment in waiting for what should be an entertaining bout.

This series has fuelled a hot streak for Cleveland while at the same time sketching out their own story. Will they sustain it? Fans undoubtedly wish so.
