Finally the playoff ended after an interesting and thrilling day baseball. On Wednesday, the Dodgers completed a busy four-game schedule by blanking the Padres 8-0.
After a very hectic week, the Dodgers wrapped up another four games series by shutting out the Padres 8-0 on Wednesday.
When Bryan Hoeing took over the team, he fared little better. Mookie Betts scored two runs on the first pitch and it went from bad to worse in the third inning when Will Smith also scored two runs to give the Dodgers a 5-0 lead.
By the seventh, the game had entirely vanished into the thin air. Tommy Edman bunted for another run, and then the coup de grâce for the Padres was Gavin Lux who hit two more two off Wandy Peralta’s first pitch to extend the score to 8-0.
Padres lineup once again flopped horrible performance leading their consecutive innings without a run to total 15 innings. All they managed was a meager display that saw them strand nine men on the base and a horrific 0-9 when it came to scoring with bases loaded. Despite a higher run tally, its offence was all but stopped for nearly every chance in the game with eight strikeouts and only two walks.
It will be an intense time on Thursday in the American League, Game 4, between the Yankees and the Tigers for the win to progress to the next round. Temperature will most definitely rise when there is lots of money at the line. The Dodgers was scheduled to face the Padres in a decisive Game 5 on Friday, and the team ‘will be under immense pressure’ to keep their season alive.
