Freddie Freeman Shines Again as Dodgers Secure 4-2 Victory Over Yankees, One Win Away from Championship with 3-0 World Series Lead

Freddie Freeman Shines Again as Dodgers Secure 4-2 Victory Over Yankees, One Win Away from Championship with 3-0 World Series Lead

As the Los Angeles Dodgers swept past the New York Yankees, 4-2, on Monday, Freddie Freeman maintained his blistering run by hitting a home run for the third straight game, giving them a commanding 3-0 lead in the World Series.

Los Angeles pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu got the victory for the Dodgers in Monday night’s 4-2 win over the Cubs which established the team’s stranglehold on the series. As for the Yankees, their bats were not at church today with RHP Walker Buehler, and Freddie Freeman homered for the third straight game. In the evening we saw many of the stands were left with merely empty blue chairs to lean on as more and more of the fans in Yankees gear trickled out early leaving halfway through the game.

Game 4 is slated for tomorrow night at the Yankees’ field, the Yankee stadium and for now the Dodgers lead the World Series with 3-0. A happy pile of blue dogs probably cheered around the pitcher’s mound could be an indicator than one more victory will be enough to end the night.

But it seems that the Yankees are unable to prevent the Dodgers from continuing on the upward trajectory. The Sox could only get five hits in Game 3 and did not get on the scoreboard until Alex Verdugo hit a two-run homer against Michael Kopech in the bottom of the ninth with two outs. But it has come really too late, after starving and fighting for a huge change in its reality.

When the LA Dodgers ousted the New York Yankees in the fourth game at 4-2 on Monday, Freeman continued heating up by homering in the third consecutive game as the Dodgers took a 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven World Series.

The Dodgers’ superiority was confirmed by Walker Buehler who started on the Dodgers’ team and played truly great proving five scorless innings and five strikeouts. Now that Buehler’s arm has shut down the Yankees and Freeman has unlocked his batting prowess, the Dodgers are one win away from clinching another title.

In the entire series, New York Yankees have failed to score more than three runs in any given game, which is bad news especially facing the mighty Dodgers.

American league MVP candidate Aaron Judge is still struggling to hit for power. As for Judge, his batting average against the teams from Los Angeles was a paltry.083 and he is just 1-for-12 after not getting any hits during his three at-bats Monday night. The Yankees will now need their star to come out and shine if they are to overturn the pressure that is mounting.

In each pitch the Yankees find themselves having to work for a come from behind victory as the team is now down to elimination mode. The Dodgers, on the other hand, are now only one win away from clinching another championship. The Yankees are struggling when matching up against the Indians and they are stuck in a very powerless position, thus swept only looks unavoidable, however the Yankees are just one win away from revenge. With the implementation of another chapter in the LA heritage waiting out there, the series is now on the edge of a quick dissolution and the drama consequently rises.
