This completes the Celtics two-year struggle that is crowned with a championship. The following season they thought about a return to the NBA finals but their hopes were demolished as they were eliminated in game seven of the conference finals at home by the Miami Heat. They were then eliminated by the Golden State Warriors during the 2022 NBA finals.
