Lionel Messi's Hat Trick Powers Inter Miami to 6-2 Victory, Breaking MLS Points Record and Securing Spot in Club World Cup 2025

Inter Miami demolished the New England Revolution with a 6-2 loss through cracking cold Lionel Messi taking his second hat-trick of the week and a second goal by Luis Suarez as well. This amazing feat ensured them a place in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 and set the new record for Major League Soccer in the regular season.

It may be noted that Miami scored 73 points in their previous match against New England, which was also in the final match in regular season setting an impressive record that was achieved by the team with 74 points for the season. A marvelous campaign was brought to conclusion in that historical night.

While Inter Miami had officially clinched the Supporters’ Shield due to having the most accumulated points throughout the season, establishment of the record for a single season added another twist to the last match of the season. That achievement made them capable rivals for the MLS Cup playoffs which kick off the following week.

Messi undaunted raised the ante and scored making it 4-2 in the final analysis. Suarez gave him a delicious back headed pass and again he demonstrated his finesse and ability to be composed even in such situations by hitting a powerful shot, and directly into the far bend.

Messi proved spectacular by scoring three goals in 11 minutes; he seems to have regained his form after he missed two months due to injury during the Copa America.

Infantino made an exciting statement that added even more suspense to Inter Miami's historic season: I went on noting that the Shield triumph had assured them a place in the next year’s Club World Cup: 2025.

He is convinced that Miami will have rightfully earned a place in the tournament since the host country’s team qualifies for the spot. I think that the team’s adventure has taken a new exciting phase with this opportunity.

“Inter Miami qualifies as the host country representative team on the basis of the club’s outstanding and consistent 34-match campaign that saw them secure the shield with two MLS matches to play,” FIFA said in a statement.

Messi could face some of the European giants in this event – he had a brief reunion before joining Inter Miami from Paris Saint-Germain last year.

A total of 32 teams will be involved in the games and this will offer spectacular matches and great moments on the,” & "The highlights of this competition involves 32 teams and this means that the games will above all features spectacular encounters.” This will include the champions from five different regional sections of FIFA.
