NBA Playoffs Roundup: Thunder, Pacers Go Up 2–0; Lakers Even Series with Timberwolves

Oklahoma City Thunder and Indiana Pacers each secured 2-0 series leads in the 2025 NBA Playoffs, while the Los Angeles Lakers recovered to tie their series against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Thunder Dominate Grizzlies to Go Up 2–0

Game 2 of the Oklahoma City Thunder's Western Conference first-round series against the Memphis Grizzlies ended in a 118-99 victory. With 27 points, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder, with Jalen Williams scoring 24 points and Chet Holmgren contributing 20 points, 11 rebounds, and five blocks. Oklahoma City maintained a commanding 48–8 lead in fast-break points over the first two games, taking advantage of Memphis' 15 turnovers to score 25 points. The Thunder's impressive fourth-quarter play cemented the victory despite the Grizzlies' short third-quarter comeback.

Pacers Hold Off Bucks' Rally to Take 2–0 Lead

ndiana Pacers defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 123-115. Tyrese Haliburton added 21 points and 12 assists, and Pascal Siakam scored 24 points and pulled down 11 rebounds. Siakam and Andrew Nembhard made clutch three-pointers to keep the Pacers ahead despite a late 13–0 run by the Bucks that reduced the deficit to 115–113. Milwaukee's 34 points and 18 rebounds were led by Giannis Antetokounmpo, but the Bucks' 16 turnovers cost them dearly.

Lakers Bounce Back to Even Series with Timberwolves

The Los Angeles Lakers tied their Western Conference first-round series at one after defeating the Minnesota Timberwolves 94-85 in Game 2. LeBron James contributed 21 points and 11 rebounds, while Luka Dončić led the Lakers with 31 points, 12 rebounds, and 9 assists. The Timberwolves were only able to shoot 38% from the field and 20% from three-point range due to the Lakers' excellent defensive play. Austin Reaves and James made crucial plays in the final minutes to give Los Angeles the victory despite a scoring drought in the fourth quarter.

The Lakers want to gain momentum as the game moves to Minnesota, while the Thunder and Pacers will try to increase their series leads as they travel.
