This year, the Los Angeles Clippers observed Christmas in September, with Russell Westbrook taking on the role of Santa Claus.

As reported by Andrew Greif of the Los Angeles Times, the future Hall of Famer brought together his fellow teammates in Las Vegas for a weekend filled with workouts and team bonding. During this bonding experience, the point guard generously gifted each of his teammates a brand-new iPhone 15 Pro Max along with boxes from his own clothing company, Honor The Gift.

According to Greif, a number of Clippers players consider Westbrook's leadership and passion to be significant factors. “recisely what a team coming off of a listless season and preaching accountability during the upcoming regular season needs."

Another instance of his leadership for a team that acquired him via trade in the 2022-23 season was when he organized a gathering of his teammates.

Paul George said "It just changed the mindset every time I stepped on the court, and I think that's just what he brings to this team. I think that's his value and why I really wanted him here so much."

Ever since uniting Kawhi Leonard and George prior to the 2019-20 season, the Clippers have been solely focused on winning championships. While injuries have been the primary obstacle to achieving that goal, having a leader like Westbrook for an entire season could potentially bring something special to the Western Conference contenders.

At a minimum, the Clippers can now use their new iPhones to communicate with each other and discuss their aspirations of winning a championship.
