UFC 300: Former Champion Advocates for Blockbuster Brock Lesnar Comeback

As the excitement builds for UFC 300's main event, followers are eagerly anticipating updates, and Michael Bisping, a former middleweight champion, has floated an unconventional suggestion for the headline clash.

 

Set for April 13 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, UFC 300 has already locked in four bouts, but there's still considerable ground to cover before it fulfills the high expectations promised by UFC CEO Dana White for a truly captivating event.

 

With the significant inclusion of former lightweight champion Charles Oliveira facing Armen Tsarukyan, which added considerable weight to the card, Michael Bisping has floated the idea that UFC 300

 

"UFC 300, will we see Brock Lesnar on there again?” Bisping asked on his YouTube channel. “It sounds stupid, because Brock Lesnar is no spring chicken, right? He’s 46 years old…Fighters have gone longer, and guess what? When there’s millions of dollars on the line, people will come and fight. And people would love to see Brock Lesnar stepping in there once again.”

 

A colossal figure in UFC history, Lesnar previously seized the spotlight at UFC 100 against Frank Mir and made a comeback to the Octagon after an almost five-year hiatus, squaring off against Mark Hunt at UFC 200 in 2016.

 

Bisping concedes that Lesnar's return to the UFC after a prolonged absence is improbable; however, "The Count" envisions a main event that aligns with fan expectations for UFC 300, proposing a showdown between the former heavyweight champion and the current interim titleholder, Tom Aspinall.

 

“Could you imagine Brock Lesnar vs. Tom Aspinall headlining UFC 300?...Maybe this is just the fan in me, maybe this is just wishful thinking. But Tom Aspinall [versus] Brock Lesnar, that would just be mental. And that is the type of thing I think the UFC are gonna do.”

 

In his pursuit to unify the UFC heavyweight belts, Aspinall is 1ly seeking a matchup with Jon Jones, following his significant victory at UFC 295, where he secured the interim heavyweight title by knocking out Sergei Pavlovich.

 

A potential showdown with Lesnar could be one of the rare instances where Aspinall considers delaying his quest for a bout with Jones, who is currently recovering from a pec injury. However, with Lesnar's return appearing improbable, fans will.
