Wild Knights Prevail Over Tenacious Eagles to Reach League One Final

Wild Knights Prevail Over Tenacious Eagles to Reach League One Final

The undefeated rugby season of the Wild Knights remains intact in Japan, with heir support by wing Maika Korobite and coached by none other than former Wallabies coach Robbie Deans. They are now in the final round due to their excellent performance, which has proven their strong game and strategic capability through the whole season.

The time of Robbie Deans and Marika Koroibete to chase the ultimate goal is now. At the first match of the Japan Rugby League One semi-final, the Saitama Panasonic Wild Knights won and thus earned a chance to compete in the championship. Understanding their mission, Koroibete's agility and Deans' tactical ability will play a key role as the two will strive for the ultimate championship of what has been the best season in their life.

The undefeated Wild Knights that fill the East stands increased their perfect season record to 17 wins by defeating the Yokohama Canon Eagles 20-17 in a thrilling game. Since the Eagles had the Wallabies second-rower Mathew Phillip and the two-time World Cup-winning Springbok center Jesse Kriel, the game became more difficult.

Although Koroibete didn't feature much on Saturday, he still left the world with the crushing impact. The fronting Brave Blossoms player Yokohama fullback Junpei Ogura was completely done by him, this way Jack Cornelsen, who was born in Australia and was playing second-rower for Brave Blossoms as well, found the path to the try line. The Wild Knights were leading 13-3 by half time after the play helped them to gain an advantage. The selected team's brilliant strategic execution and a critical moment by Koroibete in the league further cemented their control in the league.

With this triumph, Robbie Deans' winning race only picked up the pace. Not to mention the fact that 9 of his titles have been won in Japan, he has taken his teams to 16 professional club final victories. He is the amazing component of rugby because of his influence and tactical sense that have repeatedly lead to success.

While the second half of the match saw Wild Knights scoring only one try by Damian de Allende, a centre of the Springboks team, it was a matter of great significance. The Wild Knights scored three points at this crucial junction after the thrower’s trial. The Yokohama Eagles Canon, due to their dominance on the field, scored two tries very quickly in the first half leading to a large victory for them. De Allende's decisive try, in the end, inaugurated the Wild Knights' dominance, with this precious success keeping their unbeaten run alive.

The fact that they had this kind of pressure on them since the regular season they had scored on average of 47 points per game. The most of time of the afternoon they were under a siege. In a nail-biting ending, the team emerges victorious over their competitors’ formidable attack. A tribute to the stalwart defense and desperate resolve of both sides, a goal was not scored in the last 23 minutes.

The Wild Knights earned their timeless fame as six-time head honchos and victors in the past. Now, they are curious to know which team will they contend in the championship match. Tomorrow we will find out the opponent of Tokyo Brave Lupus after Toshiba Brave Lupus Tokyo and Tokyo Suntory Sungoliath's second semi-final match on Sunday. Fans and players eagerly await an arduous decider and this excitement culminates as the game is nearing its apex.

Samu Kerevi won his ex-colonial teammate, Quade Cooper, in yet another match, while Urayasu D-Rocks became the D2 champions when they defeated Hanazono Kintetsu Liners 21-12. In the opening stage of the two-legged promotion/relegation series, the D-Rocks won at home which was a positive result for the second function. Kerevi amazingly presented his skills and captaincy level to enabled his team sail to victory.

Division one teams Mie Honda Heat and Ricoh Black Rams each time proved their supremacy in their matches to other matches. The Black Rams and the Heat paved the way for their strong ends up to the series by running the game. Clubs not only played for victories but also their own position was at stake as these tied-up games highlighted all about the intensity and high stakes involved in the promotion and relegation battle. The consequences of these ties will be powerful for the future divisions, and every move and tactic have influence in it.

During Saturday’s exciting match, two of the Black Rams key players were former Wallabies prop Paddy Ryan, and former Queensland utility back Isaac Lucas. The achieving the 40-21 beat of the NEC Green Rockets Tokatsu, was mainly founded with the tries of the team. Despite the fact that Phipps is a former Wallabies halfback, the Black Rams were unable to stop the Green Rockets raid and lost at the end.

However, Heat’s Tom Banks formed part of a team that thrilled their fans in their 57-39 win against Aichi Toyota Industry. The recent deed of former captain of Argentina i.e. Pablo Matera is impressive who left the crowd in awe by reaching four times in the try line to display his phenomenal technique and unbelievable score tells a bit different story than Banks' personal success.

Former Waratahs back-rower Taleni Seu brought that to the Shuttles as he scored a couple of tries to keep the tension high. Shuttles undoubtedly lose any hopes of being promoted despite Seu's feat of heroics as they now have to overcome 18 points difference on an away leg. With these teams vying for the trophy position, tensions are certainly running high before the end.
