Guardians Stun Yankees with David Fry’s Walk-Off Homer in 10th, Narrow ALCS Gap to 2-1

Guardians Stun Yankees with David Fry’s Walk-Off Homer in 10th, Narrow ALCS Gap to 2-1

The Cleveland Guardians’ season got two massive shifts that rejuvenated the team. It brought the best out from all of them in a spectacular sense of team work when their backs was against the wall. The third, tense game of the series added up to 7-5 against the New York Yankees in the tenth inning at Progressive Field based on two homerushes by Jhonkensy Noel in the ninth and two more points by David Fry in the tenth.

This time the Guardians are to wake up on Friday just a few swings away from clinching this ALCS. They performed a spectacular comeback from being on the verge of being knocked out.

Instead of using the same ease to clinch a commanding series lead, the Yankees lead 2-1, but this ALCS is much more interesting than advertised. Al pending on that they are still the favorite to win it as they have a stronger rotation than the teams that have come before them but Cleveland has made it much harder.

In Game 3 the Yankees were knocked out of the playoffs by David Fry’s second big home run of the playoffs, the first was in game 4 of the ALCS. He hit one out of New York’s previously invincible reliever Clay Holmes. Before that, closer Luke Weaver made a mistake, and Lane Thomas responded with a two-out rocket double in the ninth inning. This opened the door for a man named Jhonkensy Noel in Cleveland, who is nicknamed “Big Christmas,” to hit a 404-foot bomb to paisson. The Yankees were in the middle of a sure victory that quickly turned into possibly the most intense pitching contest.

Earlier in the inning, Cleveland’s generally subdued closer, Emmanuel Clase, surrendered two home runs hit all season long by New York Yankees’ star, Aaron Judge, who sent the game even and then ahead with back to back home runs. That said, their valour was not enough to hold them from what ensued next. Besides erasing Clase’s out of character troubles, Noel’s home run also canceled a Guardians error in the ninth that gave the Yankees another run.

Now it’s focused on Friday night’s Game 4, where rookie Luis Gil of the Yankees will have to face the Cleveland hitters and a steadily growing home crowd behind the Guardians. Cleveland seems to make that formula work if Game 3 is any indication.
