Kashiwa Reysol Signs Defender Daiki Sugioka from Shonan Bellmare

Kashiwa Reysol announced the full transfer of defender Daiki Sugioka (26) from Shonan Bellmare on January 4th. The versatile player, capable of operating as a center-back, left fullback, or wingback, brings experience and adaptability to the team.

Sugioka began his professional career with Shonan Bellmare after graduating from Funabashi Municipal High School. He also had a stint with Kashima Antlers from 2020 to mid-2021. In the J1 League, he has made 169 appearances, demonstrating his reliability on the pitch.

During the 2024 season, Sugioka played 15 league games for Shonan before joining FC Machida Zelvia on loan in July. While at Machida, he contributed to their historic campaign with 12 league matches and two appearances in the YBC Levain Cup.

Upon signing with Kashiwa, Sugioka expressed his gratitude and enthusiasm:

“I am very happy to play for Kashiwa Reysol. I will do my best to contribute to the team’s victory, giving my all and remembering the support of those who believed in me.”

He also thanked his former clubs, Shonan Bellmare and FC Machida Zelvia, for their support throughout his career:

“Shonan Bellmare will always be special to me. I am grateful for the experiences I gained at Machida, even in a short six months. To all supporters, thank you for your encouragement.”
