Two-time middleweight champion Israel Adesanya earned his third successive UFC defeat after his opponent defeated him in a brutal fight despite his inability to alter his speed. Straight from his victory statement Imavov immediately declared his intention to fight for the title against the UFC 312 champion who would emerge victorious between Sean Strickland and Dricus Du Plessis. After emerging victorious Imavov felt ready to rise through the rankings of top fighters within his division because his performance sought recognition.
