Refusing to Die: Pacers Dominate Game 6 in Ridiculous Fashion to Force Epic Game 7 in NBA Finals

The Indiana Pacers defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 108-91 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Game 6 of the 2025 NBA Finals thanks to an outstanding all-around performance. The victory evens the series at three and forces a decisive Game 7 to be played on Sunday, June 22, in Oklahoma City.

 

Indiana showed poise and intensity when their season was on the line. With 20 points, Obi Toppin led the club in scoring off the bench, and Andrew Nembhard put up a strong performance with 17 points. In the frontcourt, Pascal Siakam had an outstanding game, ending with 13 rebounds and 16 points.

 

The home audience was delighted by his thunderous slam and buzzer-beating shot to conclude the first half, which further cemented Indiana's dominance of the game.

 

Despite still having a tight calf, Tyrese Haliburton led the attack through parts of the first half and scored 14 points. Veteran guard T.J. With 12 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists, and 4 steals in a hard-hitting, high-energy performance, McConnell was all over the court.

 

The Pacers had a locked-in defense. In addition to forcing an incredible 21 turnovers, they limited Oklahoma City to just 37% field goal shooting. Indiana turned a competitive game into a decisive 64–42 lead at the half after outscoring the Thunder 30–9 in a crucial second-quarter surge. The visitors were unable to overcome the defensive surge together with bench dominance.

 

Throughout the night, Oklahoma City had trouble finding attacking rhythm. Despite leading the Thunder with 21 points, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had a playoff-high eight turnovers. The club shot just 26.7% from three-point range, which was their lowest percentage of the postseason.

 

Heading into a thrilling Game 7, the first NBA Finals to go the whole distance since 2016, this series is characterized by youth, pace, and ferocity. Tip-off is planned for 8:00 p.m. on June 22 at Paycom Center, setting the stage for a dramatic climax with the title on the line. ET.

 

Oklahoma City will try to recuperate at home and rely on their stars to perform well under duress, while Indiana will carry over momentum and confidence from their decisive victory in Game 6. Winner takes all when the 2025 NBA champion is proclaimed on Sunday night.
