Shohei Ohtani Celebrates Dodgers’ World Series Win with Special Speech

Shohei Ohtani Celebrates Dodgers’ World Series Win with Special Speech

On November 2, 2024, the Los Angeles Dodgers held a jubilant parade in celebration of their eighth World Series championship in four years. The event featured double-decker buses parading through the streets of Los Angeles, with star player Shohei Ohtani riding on the third bus alongside teammates, including pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto, catcher Will Smith, and family members.

During the festivities, Ohtani took center stage at Dodger Stadium, where a large crowd had gathered for a celebratory event. After manager Dave Roberts finished his speech, he called Ohtani to the microphone. With the stadium buzzing with excitement, Ohtani addressed the fans: “This is such a special moment for me. I'm so honored to be here and to be part of this team. Congratulations, Los Angeles, thank you fans.”

Following his speech, Ohtani began looking for Yamamoto, playfully asking, “Where did Yoshinobu go?” This prompted teammates to start a chant of “Yoshi! Yoshi!” Encouraged by the crowd, Yamamoto made his appearance and joyfully shouted, “Thank you, Dodgers fans!” The moment encapsulated the spirit of camaraderie and celebration shared among the players and their loyal supporters.
