When Will People Acknowledge? Cleveland Cavaliers in Historic Run with Dominant Record This Season

When Will People Acknowledge? Cleveland Cavaliers in Historic Run with Dominant Record This Season

Even though Cleveland Cavaliers have been performing exceptionally well this season, they lack the national exposure they really deserve. The Wine and Gold are achieving differential that field some of the all time greatest NBA teams and now possess the best 29-4 record in the association.

This year the Cleveland Cavaliers are becoming part of an elite organization with an astounding winning percentage of.879. Only three previous teams in the past 30 years have accomplished this level of dominance: The Golden State Warriors in season 2015-2016, the Boston Celtics in season 2007-2008 and the Chicago Bulls 1995-1996.

However, it was deja vu for both the Bulls and the Celtics because at the end of all the shown games, the two final teams clinched championships to conclude their campaigns. Nevertheless, the Warriors failed to win the championship after reaching the 2016 NBA finals, which they led 3-1 but lost to a team of Kyrie Irving and LeBron James.

The Cavaliers have assembled a lineup with little of which they are weak, as is true of many of the great teams to which they are now comparable. Adding a real wing player or a backup center might add some depth however, the foundation of a successful team has to be rooted somewhere and that is the foundation. However, Koby Altman must be very careful as to when to consider changing anything to a lineup that seems to be operating at optimal efficiency.

JJ Redick admitted that the Cleveland Cavaliers have practically looked unbeatable since the start of the season.

After the game, the head coach of the Lakers shared his opinion about the game as he stated that it is very hard to beat such club as the Cavaliers. It’s not astonishing because they have assembled a strong cast and are imposing throughout.

"I really believe this: against teams as good as Cleveland, you have to play close to perfect basketball. They're not going to let you beat them. They're not going to beat themselves. They really believe in what they're doing," said Redick during his postgame interview.

Sure, Redick was reviewing the points that his Lakers team lost the game on, but he was not shy to say that he has never seen a better performing team than the Cavaliers.

This is Cleveland’s team, even if the nation’s sports networks aren’t fully aware of the brilliance of these players and coach yet; comments from basketball greats such as Redick bear this as true as any. What was once a team of mere competition is now regarded as bona fide NBA Finals material and the teams have to see them in that light too.

Of course, fans enjoy watching this squad become NBA history makers; however, they know the risks. It would not do them a lot of good to be on top come the regular season because the playoffs will occur in April, May, and June.
