With one race completed and 14 more to go.
Fernando Alonso is determined. Following a disappointing seventh-place finish in his home race, the Spanish Grand Prix, the Aston Martin F1 driver made it clear that seeing a podium without him will not become the norm.
Things are going well thus far.
In the recent Canadian Grand Prix, Alonso secured a commendable second place, marking his sixth podium finish of the season in eight races. His second-place achievement, combined with Sergio Pérez's sixth-place finish, has narrowed the gap between Alonso and Pérez in the Drivers' standings.
After the Miami Grand Prix, Pérez held a 30-point lead over Alonso for second place. However, as the race leaves Montreal in its wake, Alonso has significantly closed the margin. The Aston Martin driver is now only nine points behind Pérez.

During the FIA Press Conference after the Canadian Grand Prix, Alonso tempered expectations for Aston Martin to some extent. When asked about the upcoming Austrian Grand Prix, he expressed his concern that the circuit, as well as the sprint race format, may not favor the team's performance.
The Chiefs, with a record of 8-5, have lost four of their last six games, while the Bills, standing at 7-6, have sustained their playoff hopes.
