The NFL playoffs begin on Saturday with an enticing wildcard contest between the Houston Texans and the Los Angeles Chargers. Six teams will have punched their tickets to the divisional round by the end of Monday night, joining the Detroit Lions and the top-seeded Kansas City Chiefs the following weekend.
Which teams will win these crucial contests? How can spectators follow all of the action? And above all, what decisive elements could influence the results? The drama is about to start, and the stage is ready.
Houston Texans vs. Los Angeles Chargers
Based on their outstanding display each week Joe Alt is a fantastic acquisition to the Jim Harbaugh Chargers and has cemented his place on right tackle. Alongside the left tackle Rashawn Slater who, is considered as one of the league’s top left tackles, has provided Alt with the pieces needed for the team’s building of a solidified interior. Combined the two have established Chargers’ lineup to be a reliable force on the field.
However, Alt has what can turn out to be his biggest challenge ever this week end. First of all, Will Anderson Jr. and Danielle Hunter, the Texans’ unyielding pass-rushing duo, are on pace to pile up 23 sacks this season. This one looks like it will be a battle royale. This might put an end to the Texans’ vicious defense since Alt is much stronger and Slater still routinley tears up the left side. The Chargers have a real shot at dismantling Houston’s deadliest asset: their vicious pass rush if only Alt stands tall.
Buffalo Bills vs. Denver Broncos
Finally, the most striking component of the Denver Broncos’ defense has been, of course, their pass rush, which accumulated a stunning grand total of 63 sacks during the regular season, or nine more than the second best team in this respect. The Bills’ offense, however, has been almost impregnable and this season has allowed fourteen sacks that is a record for any club and eight more than the nearest challenger. In order to pull off a surprising upset, Denver needs to do something no other team has done this season constantly Rams home pressure that defeats Josh Allen and penetrates through the hard outer shell and brings him to his doom.
Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Baltimore Ravens
Steelers have done an excellent job in the past in making Lamar Jackson uncomfortable. Before Baltimore’s victory in Week 16, Jackson had only won one of his five career starts against Pittsburgh and threw 8 interceptions and logged only five TD passes. Jackson remained cool and put in a splendid show during their latest win of 34–17, but still, Pittsburgh is one of the rare teams that can, at times, disturb his play-making. The Steelers may be able to regain some of that environmental control and get rid of some of the final playoff anxiety if they can spook Jackson early and get some turnovers.
Green Bay Packers vs. Philadelphia Eagles
Much creativeness is used when it comes to casting doubt on what Jalen Hurts brings to the table and his physical wellness. Hurts arrived the week still deciding which is the NFL’s concussion protocol after he had to sit out two games due to a concussion. Although it had been claimed that he is likely to be fit and ready to feature in the Sunday’s game, the conditions are hardly perfect. Amidst the euphoria of a playoff opener is to lose almost three games a big shocker. Indeed, confidence of the Philadelphia Eagles to qualify for playoff games mainly rests on Hurts and therefore the latter will have to answer the call.
Washington Commanders vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Jayden Daniels is one of the great quarterbacks I have come across in my many years of watching football because, for once, you get to see a great runner alongside a great passer. Who had 891 rushing yard – this is a rookie QB record – he made the Commanders go on the ground with it. In addition to what has been said, Daniels also had an amazing 100.1 pass rating, only the fourth best rookie score on record. For the Commanders to secure a win, it’s clear Warning signs say that Daniels has to step up and play like he did throughout the entire season.
Minnesota Vikings vs. Los Angeles Rams
The Vikings will see a tumble at some point in the season or any season in the future. A 15 2 season, division title, and the number one seed in the NFC meaning they got a bye in the first round were all one inch away from them. They were compelled to face the Rams in a wild card game after they were bullied in the week 18. Therefore the Rams won’t be fired up by a post – loss disappointment that will in any means be an easy match for Minnesota. This campaign Minnesota Vikings has gone through all teams but the Lions and the only defeat they tasted was in week eight where they were defeated by the Rams, 30-20.
