G2 emerged victorious, at ESL, IEM Dallas 2024 at the competition’s 100th centennial. The sequence of events and or processes that the above team went through throughout this event was anything but basic. Despite all the limitations and failure experiences they had in their struggle, the fact that they never give up proved the tenacity they possessed. They demonstrated it and resilience throughout the process during the matches against formidable opponents like MOUZ and Liquid.

It was a symbol of their ambition and cunning that they sailed across the ocean. However, no game was an easy fight for G2 and their constant awareness and ability to adapt sealed it for them. It can only be said that both teams provided spectacular plays by the beginning of the grand final, playing on the Inferno map. When the first half of the game was finished, the score was 7-5 in the favor of G2. This was sustained in the second half, in which the Vitality team triumphed, and more rounds had to be played to end the match. Both teams won three successive rounds, and there was a dramatic battle to an extra round between them. Finally, G2 emerged the winner with a 19-16 set score in the specific map.

The level of tension was similar to the previous map, Anubis. The first half of the match was won with a 7–5 lead for Vitality. From this formation, Vitality seemed to be dominating the match as they went to the midpoint of the match leading 12-5 after winning the last five rounds consecutively. However, G2 emerged the ultimate winner by capturing seven of the eight possible rounds and moving to the overtime stage. G2 fought till the last minute but there was no stopping for Vitality who secured 16–13 to clinch the map.

The Nuke test match and fought hard to draw the first blood and finally the first half ended with an 6-6 tie. G2 on the other hand took advantage of the slows and won five consecutive rounds for the second half of the map getting rid of it with a score of 13-8.

ZywOo was the absolute highlight of the entire tournament, which he rightfully took as the tournament’s Most Valuable Player, earning a massive 7. I would give one for why: Because it is almost impossible for any one to win and G2 really fought for it, they even waited for the grand final.

As part of their win, the team receives both the $100,000 cash money prize and qualified status for IEM Cologne 2024 which will be held in June 7-18 and has $1,000,000 up for grabs.
