John Cena's Journey Continues: Far from Finished as a Competitor! "I'm not officially done. I know that I'm close. I'm close. I can feel it.”

John Cena is contemplating retirement as he senses its impending arrival. While Cena is eager to engage with the current WWE superstars, he is also aware that the countdown has begun on his 1 wrestling career.

Cena recently wrapped up a two-month stint with WWE, culminating in a defeat against Solo Sikoa at Crown Jewel. This marked the longest consecutive period the 16-time world champion has spent with the company since transitioning to a part-time role in 2019. Having graced the WWE ring annually since 2002, Cena acknowledges that this enduring streak is inevitably drawing to a close.

"I'm not officially done. I know that I'm close. I'm close. I can feel it.” During a conversation with Logan Paul on the podcast, Cena discussed the possibility of making a return to in-ring action. "Yes, I hope so,"

“I love and I still feel fluent. I would like to say goodbye when I still feel fluent. It’s coming and to the point where…you know the moment in the sunset where it starts to go down, ‘Man, it’s going down real fast.’ That’s kind of where I’m at. I’m not done, but I need to decide when I am,” he said.

Concluding his wrestling career before reaching the age of 50, setting a prospective endpoint around April 22, 2027. Given that WrestleMania typically occurs in early April, there's a potential for him to stage a final performance at WrestleMania 43 if he decides to do so.

"I'm gonna be 47 this year," Cena said. "I feel great. So inside, I feel great, but I know what it takes to be a WWE performer night in and night out, and I don't ever wanna just go out there and do it to do it. I wanna have the passion, the same passion as the fanbase, and I wanna give them exactly what they give me."

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has recently taken on a role on the board of WWE's parent company TKO Group Holdings. Paul Levesque, formerly known as Triple H, holds the position of Chief Content Officer and Head of Creative at WWE. Unlike his legendary counterparts, Cena has no aspirations to venture into the executive realm of the wrestling industry.

"I'm fortunate enough to have some other stuff going on and I'll be focusing on that too, but I always want to be involved in the business. I get so passionate about it and it's something that I love and I think I have a few pieces of wisdom that need to be passed on, I don't think it should die with me. I'll try to do that the best I can."

"What I would love to give to the business is my time," Cena said. “No. What I would love to give to the business is my time. I live very close to the Performance Center and I would like to go in as a guest and that way I’m not obligated and they’re not obligated in any way. It’s stuff I do on my free time anyway. I love going in and picking people’s brains and have conversations. ‘So, who are you?’ ‘What does that have to do with anything?’ ‘Only everything. Let’s talk.’ I enjoy that.”

Cena expressed his lack of inclination towards such a role, emphasizing his desire to dedicate his time to assisting other talents in the business. He highlighted his intention to share his knowledge and mentor aspiring individuals.
