In an announcement made by Most Valuable Promotions, the upcoming boxing match on July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Dallas will witness the clash between former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson and the YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul, marking a significant event for Paul's emerging promotional company.

The highly anticipated showdown, promoted as a “heavyweight boxing mega event” will be streamed live on Netflix.”

In his latest bout, held this past Saturday, Jake Paul, the 27-year-old YouTuber-turned-boxer, showcased his prowess by securing a remarkable first-round knockout against Ryan Bourland. This victory marked Paul's ninth triumph in his professional boxing career, which began in 2020. It's worth noting that Paul's second professional fight was featured on the undercard of the exhibition match between boxing legends Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr.

“It’s crazy to think that in my second pro fight, I went viral for knocking out Nate Robinson on Mike Tyson’s undercard,” said Paul. “Now, less than four years later, I’m stepping up to face Tyson myself to see if I have what it takes to beat one of boxing’s most notorious fighters and biggest icons.”

Tyson, aged 57, hasn't stepped into the boxing ring since the exhibition with Jones. His last professional bout took place in 2005, concluding with a knockout by Kevin McBride. For almost two decades, Tyson stood as one of the most formidable heavyweights in boxing, amassing a record of 50–6, with 44 victories achieved by knockout. In recognition of his illustrious career, Tyson was inducted into the Boxing Hall of Fame in 2011.
