Dončić achieved All-NBA distinction for the fifth time by his twenty-fifth birthday even though he is 26 years old. Despite his individual achievements the Mavericks organization made a shift from their franchise priority point guard status.

“That’s their decision, so I have no comment on that,” Doncic said. “They made a decision. I don’t know why but that’s their decision, so I can’t do anything about it.”

"Dončić is classified as day-to-day," Pelinka said, adding that the Lakers will work with the training staff to make it easier for him to return to competition. Before he takes the court, the organization is taking precautions to make sure he is in top form.
