2025 NBA Playoffs Recap: Thunder Dominate, Knicks and Clippers Seize Series Leads

New York Knicks Edge Out Detroit Pistons to Lead Series 2-1

Oklahoma City Thunder Commanding 3-0 Lead Over Memphis Grizzlies

 

The Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Memphis Grizzlies 114-108 in Game 3 of their first-round playoff series, taking a commanding 3-0 lead after overcoming a 29-point deficit in a breathtaking show of tenacity. It's tied for the second-biggest comeback in NBA playoff history.

 

In the first quarter, the Grizzlies outscored the Thunder 40–29, and by the half, they had increased their lead to 77–51. In the first quarter, Scotty Pippen Jr. scored 14 points, going 4-for-4 from beyond the arc to lead Memphis.

 

But in the second half, things took a significant turn for the worst. The Thunder's comeback was started by Chet Holmgren, who scored 23 of his 24 points after the half. Jalen Williams scored 26 points, including a pivotal free throw with 1:20 left, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander added 31 points to give Oklahoma City their first lead of the game.

 

 

LA Clippers Overwhelm Denver Nuggets to Lead Series 2-1

 

The Los Angeles Clippers put on a spectacular show, defeating the Denver Nuggets 117-83 to grab a 2-1 series lead. James Harden had nine assists, while Kawhi Leonard spearheaded the attack with 21 points and 11 rebounds. The Nuggets were held to just 83 points by the Clippers' defense. On Saturday, Game 4 will take place in Los Angeles.

 

Memphis will host Game 4 on Saturday, April 26. The Grizzlies want to prolong the series, while the Thunder want to finish the sweep.
