Paris 2024 Olympics: Majestic Ceremony Marks Historic Opening

Paris 2024 Olympics: Majestic Ceremony Marks Historic Opening

In fact every single move and the positioning of the camera during the opening ceremony of Summer Olympics appears to be choreographed down to the last drop of creativity thus suggesting that the concept is formal and even very elegant.

This could be the feeling that many people who watched the 2024 Paris Games opening ceremony on television could have had. However, that is the way it was like what, for an international music á la’ conduit? It resembles more what if a disco dance was created on a rainy day. Regardless it was rather wild, a bit exotic compared to more traditional Olympic ceremonies, and the vibe was excited.

Reporters observed friendly supporters of athletes as the international cocktail of fans from different countries started near the beginning of the parade near the Seine River Tuileries and the finish at the Trocadéro, the island on the river’s south side. He returned their salute by shouting happily, waving the banners and singing along with them in every chorus. undefined Wearing pop, metal or electronic tracks on the headphones, the participants walked 7 miles of the river and was accompanied by music that played on the speakers installed along the river. The environment became oxygenated and full of energy that seemed to prevail as a symbol of unity and joy.

It mentions that most people did not have qualms, but there were limited concerns among a select group of individuals. While some of the spectators tried to take a stance whenever they could; others climbed onto barriers; one man even sat on a tree.

The initial clues of the procession started when water sprouts started being released from the area of Pont d’Austerlitz arch about half an hour before the actual ceremony began. Since the view was clearer in the river side they gathered themselves and their friends in balcony’s or even on the top of the houses. Still, overhead—at an altitude that would have kept most of the people on the ground from being able to hear them—the helicopters floated. Police boats patrolled the shores of river Seine, out of range of camera lens, but within ready range.

It would be exciting for more than half a million spectators, not counting viewers on television screens, to observe how the Olympic Opening Ceremony separated from the stadium for the first time. The Seine, and the city’s attractions, provided a great scenario for Thomas Jolly’s mise-en-scène of 360 degrees. People stood on the quays, on the bridges and under the river to watch the athletes’ parade, the politically correct speeches and the exciting show of a masked torchbearer. In great spirit, fun and adrenalin rush, 6,800 competitors were off to a great start of their Olympics through this exciting event.

Another one of the most significant and vivid feelings of the opening ceremony was the lighting of the cauldron. The Paris 2024 Cauldron can be located near the Tuileries gardens in the Louvre, in the very heart of the French capital and it has a brilliant view of the city. This has the perfect harmony with the Pyramid at the Louvre Museum, Champ Elysees, The Arc de Triomphe, Paralympic Sign Agitos, and Obelisk of Place de la Concorde.

After the last relay group, the torchbearers Marie-José Perec and Teddy Riner appeared on the finished magnificent garden fountain and lit this great and unique Cauldron. The Cauldron was designed by Mathieu Lehanneur, a French artist, and is a ring of flames with a large hot air balloon on top of it. Thus, one of the most touching shots in the ceremony was captured. When it was set up and lit and then released, the Cauldron shone brilliantly in the darkness of the Parisian night. Riner’s action marked the official opening of the 2024 Olympic Games in PARIS and the termination of the Olympic Torch Relay that elicited a lot of enthusiasm across France.

This flying, puncture-proof Cauldron is different and groundbreaking to say the least and stands out from others. Technological advancement has today taken a twist and this has been illustrated by the fact that the Olympic Flame is electrically lit, what appears like a ray of light in a fog. The Cauldron will be literally seen by the public every day at the time when they can observe it in the night sky in Paris while it’s descending from the place it is located at night. Starting July 27, everyone have the chance to get nearer to the Olympic Flame via a ticket-free scheme.
